COVID-19 Updates

Updated on 5/22/2020

The High Point Convention and Visitors Bureau is working to ensure the community and visitors are informed with all updates concerning the COVID-19 mandates and recommendations. Earlier this week, Governor Cooper signed an Executive Order to start Phase 2 of reopening businesses that will go into effect Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m. In Phase 2, the "Stay At Home" order is lifted, but the Governor suggested to remain "Safer At Home."  Today, the Governor announced an addition to Phase 2 that will include the opening of breweries and wineries. If you do plan to leave your house, follow the three W's:

Wear face coverings
Wait 6 feet away
Wash hands often

The High Point Market Authority has expanded their dates for the upcoming Fall Market in an effort to spread out attendance. Market will now take place over a 9-day period from October 13-21, 2020. For more information, read the official press release here.

As stated in the order, restaurants offering alternative services are considered an essential employee. To view restaurants offering services such as takeout or delivery, click here.
